Creative essays that focus on solutions to the problems facing today’s youth — improving education, increasing civic awareness, etc. — are especially encouraged. Examples might include the role health policy plays in public education or how community planning contributes to digital networking and socializing. Essays should include research and an accompanying bibliography, but especially compelling personal narratives and diverse viewpoints will be considered as well.
